Type: Lager/pilsner ABV: 4.6% Origin: Leuven Belgium Overall impression: Light sweetness with a pronounced dry hoppy finish Born from 600 years of brewing tradition in the Belgian town of Leuven achieving the distinctive taste of our Stella Artois lager is by no means simple. Only through using expertly balanced malted barley the finest European Saaz hops and classic brewing methods can our Stella Artois brewmasters create such a superior golden elixir that simply must be savoured. And the best way to do so? The Belgian way of course: perfectly poured sipped from a Chalice and enjoyed in the company of friends with a nibble of something delicious. Santé! Serving Best served chilled in our iconic Chalice. A medium hop intensity along with some residual sweetness from its malts makes Stella Artois is a versatile beer when pairing with food. Food Pairing Stella Artois pairs well with salmon tuna and marbled meat. Its bitterness offers a pleasing contrast with sweet reductions and sauces and its carbonation means it pairs well with rich and fried foods as long as their intensity is not too high. Home-Run Pairing Beer Battered Fish and Chips There are several flavor bridges and complementary elements between Stella Artois and fish and chips. Firstly Stella Artois can actually be used in the cooking stage with Stella Artois' carbonation adding a lovely lightness to the batter and also a slight cracker and nutty flavours to the dish. The beer's intensity is also just at the right level to stand up against the fried fish without stealing the show or being overwhelmed whilst the carbonation helps cleanse the palate. The slight floral notes from the hops and residual sweetness from the malts will play nicely alongside the acidity of a squeeze of lemon or a dash of vinegar which often accompanies the fish. Finally the gentle hop bitterness will offset any sweetness from any complementary mushy peas on the side.

Failure to produce valid ID at the time of delivery will result in your order being returned to the store, and a refund issued for the alcohol portion of your order. Delivery fees may not be refunded.


National & International Product Restrictions

Local & Nationwide Delivery

Certain fragile or high-risk items are not suitable for nationwide delivery due to the risk of breakage. These products are marked with:

"Not Available for NATIONWIDE delivery. Only Available for COLLECTION or LOCAL DELIVERY"

If such a product is mistakenly ordered for nationwide delivery, it will be refunded automatically by the store, and this will be noted on your receipt. If you have any questions, please contact the store directly.

International Delivery Terms

We offer international shipping to select countries where the import of alcohol is legally permitted. Customers are responsible for checking whether alcohol can be imported into their country.

By placing an international order, you agree to the following:

  • You are of legal drinking age in your country of residence.

  • You are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees charged by your country’s authorities.

  • You understand that your package may be delayed, returned, or confiscated by customs if alcohol import is restricted in your region.

  • No refunds will be issued for goods refused or seized at customs.

  • Returned shipments due to customs issues, unpaid duties, age restrictions, or incorrect delivery information may incur additional fees.

We do not ship alcohol to countries where it is prohibited, orders to restricted destinations will be cancelled and refunded.


Packaging, Breakages & Liability

We use secure, protective packaging for all alcohol deliveries. Despite our best efforts, breakages or delays may occur, particularly during international transit or customs inspection. 

Once your order has been dispatched, the risk of loss or damage passes to you as the customer. 


Returns Policy

Local Delivery Returns

All local deliveries must be inspected at the time of receipt. If any part of your order is incorrect, damaged, or otherwise unacceptable, it must be returned immediately to the delivery driver. The driver will notify the store, and a refund will be processed accordingly.

Nationwide Delivery Returns

If your order was delivered incorrectly, damaged, or faulty through nationwide delivery, please contact the store you purchased from directly to arrange a return or refund.

Each Carry Out Off Licence store is independently responsible for the orders it fulfills at both local and national levels.

If you encounter an issue and the store is unwilling or unable to provide a satisfactory resolution, you may escalate your query to Carry Out Head Office using our Contact Form.


International Delivery Returns

Please note:
We do not accept returns or offer refunds for international orders, except in the case of a proven fault or error on our part.

Due to the nature of cross-border logistics and customs regulations, all international sales are final. We cannot accept returns for:

  • Change of mind or incorrect ordering

  • Delays caused by customs processing

  • Packages refused, held, or confiscated by customs

  • Non-payment of import duties or local taxes by the recipient

  • Items opened, damaged, or tampered with after delivery

If your international order arrives damaged or with missing items, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt with clear photographic evidence and a copy of your delivery documentation. We will assess claims on a case-by-case basis and advise on any next steps.
