History of Carry Out

Carry Out Off-Licence franchise was launched by the gwl group (Galvins Wholesale Ltd) in 2003. Six years later, it represents the largest off licence operation in Ireland with over 60 owned or franchised stores nationwide offering consumers a consistently high quality range of wines and spirits. Carry Out off licences are exclusively supplied by the gwl group, the largest independent importer and distributor of wines and spirits in Ireland, from a new 130,000 square foot facility in Mahon, Cork. Purchasing directly from over 30 different countries, gwl group are able to offer their Carry Out retail partners the widest choice of wines, beers & spirits. In order to keep pace with the changing and increasingly demanding retail sector, we have developed a new store image and specification. This specification is designed to focus on wine sales, international beer sales and deliver clear messages in-store.
