About the Franchise Operator

In December 2009, the Carry Out business was acquired by Barry Group, one of Ireland’s leading wholesale and distribution groups and a hugely trusted name among its customers.

Now, one of Ireland’s biggest alcohol wholesalers, Barry Group has been in business for over 50 years and today employs over 250 people and supplies product to over 700 stores including 237 affiliated stores in the Republic of Ireland operating under the Costcutter, Carry Out, Buy Lo and Quik Pick brands.

Under the leadership and vision of Jim Barry, Managing Director, Barry Group was recently named as one of Ireland’s ‘Best Managed’ companies for 2009 in the annual Deloitte Best Managed Awards Programme. The awards recognize and promote the top 20 performing Irish owned and managed companies.
